V3.0 is out!

Risk of Infection v3.0 is out!

NOTE: Remember to backup your save files before updating your game version!

It took a while, but it's finally here. Journey west to see the prospering town of Erwald, try on a new suit, get involved with a new set of ladies and try your combat skills against the Necromancer of Erwald and the Rehling Fire Drake!

I suggest having your characters around level 14 before going to Erwald and getting some of the new equipment.

Here's a list of what has changed:

Story:
-The main quest continues with 2 additional quests along with a handful of side quest
-Natasha added as an optional playable character. If you have done her quest in Lamina, go recruit her in Leyte (possible after spending the night with Catherine there).
-New weapons and armor available in stores at the start of the v3.0 questline.
-A lot of new crafting recipes and an armor/accessory upgrade system.
-Rehling mine (or 'delve') has a 3rd layer with new crafting materials and the toughest boss enemy to date.

Combat:
-The way DoT states of poison, bleeding and burning work have been changed. All 3 states cause 4% max HP damage per turn (down from 5% for burning and bleeding and 10% for poison), but they also add another negative effect to the target. Poison lowers attack and magic by 10%, bleeding lowers evasion by 4% and burning makes the target take 10% more damage.
-Magic evasion is now a thing for enemies (this feature was weirdly missing making magic damage non-evadable)
-New 100 fury cost finishers added which open at lvl 12 (if your characters are over lvl 12, visit the Agency ground floor or level up with the character to fix that)
-Rose's Gouge has 50% chance to bleed (up from 25%), and her ability has been reworked to make her skills apply hermorrhage to bleeding enemies (additional/stacking bleed)
-Lily's Counterstrike adds 20% counter chance to the whole party and not just 100% to Lily.
-All birds and other flying enemies are now weak to lightning damage.
-Noel's All-Maker's Prayer and Liturgy For the Masses scale off Noel's magic now. His Golden Grace skill scales better off his magic (+20%). Noel's mana transfer skill was wonky at best and broken at worst, and it now functions properly dealing damage to Nel while restoring MP to an ally.
-Tabitha's Call of the Night can't crit being a purely HP% based damage spell.
-Blind status only lasts 2 turns instead of 3.
-Finishers are performed with +999 agility bonus, so they trigger always first in the turn order. The only exception is certain 'force action' boss moves like Bruno's roundhouse kick.
-Lingering spirits now only do magical attacks.
-Tabitha's boss fight in the Rehling mine now has 20% less max HP. I deemed this fight to be too easy to stay alive when using Noel and the time to kill was too long with that in mind. Considering the player has very little options to tweak their build, I saw it best if Tabitha went down faster.

-The overall issue with the healing rate parameter has been fixed. Previously it only affected the items the character used, but now all healing skills properly scale off of it. Items STILL are affected by it, so if you use any items outside of battle, they scale off the highest healing rate in your party.

World:
-All consumable items can be purchased from item shops at the very beginning of the game.
-The cave with the Canoness' Staff is now easier to find (I have a feeling many players walked past it by accident. It's on the map where you fight the Warg bear at the very southern end).
-Map, bestiary and help note are available at the Agency reception. Talk to the lady there to get these key items which can be used from your inventory.
-Better shopping screen and crafting screen so you know better what kind of gear you are buying/making.
-Abigail's flashback scene might have had an issue where if you start it with a character that is not your player character, Abigail's sprite does not change correctly. This is not an issue anymore.
-The guy at the entrance to the Rehling mine now has correct information on what ore is in what level. He falsely stated earlier that blood-iron can be found on level 2, while he meant black-ice. Blood-iron can be found on newly added level 3.

Items:
-Fertility Dress mistakenly drained the user's fury instead of providing the targeting rate minus. It now works as stated in the armor's description.
-Healer's staff now has a higher healing rate of 50% to compensate its lack of magic.

I think this is all. I hope everyone has great time with v3.0! I took a long time to try and find any bugs, but please let me know if any catch your eye. The game should at least not softlock easily. I will take the next couple of weeks off from game development, but I will fix any bugs that may come up and update the game guide.

After that I will start developing the next companion quests. Quinn and Rose are on the table.
